Slate Application
Slate is a decorative natural stone occurring in a layered form. It is mainly used for roof-tops, indoor wall claddings and light duty indoor flooring with suitable impregnation. Some of the harder varieties may be used for outdoor applications. Images of some of the most popular varieties of slate is provided below. The slates listed in this page may be known by other trade names. Geologically the items listed in this page as slates may have a different technical name.
We supply most of the slate products as slabs and tiles with natural cleaved or honed surfaces. Thickness of the natural products vary. In case desired, the slabs and tiles can be clibrated to specified thickness.
